Who we are

Speechy are an elite team of wedding speech writers, with a background script-writing at the BBC and working with the UK’s top TV talent. Between us, we’ve won BBC writer awards & been ‘Ones To Watch’ @ the Edinburgh TV Festival. We’ve written for comedy shows on Radio 4, Dead Ringers & Horrible Histories & directed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.  During our telly careers we’ve worked with numerous celebs including Richard Hammond, Dan Snow, Sharon Osbourne, David Mitchel, and Mel Gieldroyc.

Speechy was formed after Heidi delivered a rather memorable bride’s speech and discovered, rather than the usual clichéd jokes & outdated etiquette, guests like something a bit different these days – i.e. a speech that’s unique, joyful, and kick-starts the day with a bang.

The four of us finally set up Speechy in 2015 & have now worked with 100s of happy clients around the world – all of whom say we’ve added something special to their day.

How We Operate

The Speechy Team

From the uber hip Rock n’ Roll Bride to the classic County Weddings and the online gurus Confetti – the Speechy message is getting out there.

We want people to think about wedding speeches differently. Give a joint wedding speech, shake up the traditional line up, encourage everyone to give a spontaneous speech – whatever, just make sure your speeches are blooming brilliant.

Whether it’s tips on how to make your wedding speech funny or advice on how to deliver your speech, we can help you nail it.

In the Media...

Speechy are the go-to experts for modern speech advice.

In the run up to the Royal Wedding, the team were kept busy being interviewed across the media.

Among the highlights – being interviewed by Eamonn Holmes (who was desperate for advice on how to deliver a speech at his son’s wedding) and our tips being quoted on Radio 2 by the King of the Love Song, Steve Wright.

Our #thisbridewill campaign was also supported by BadassWomen’sHour.
